Crowns and Bridges
Crowns and bridges help fix weak or missing teeth.
Crowns are colored caps that enclose a tooth. Often used to restore function to a tooth that is severely damaged or reinforce a weak tooth.
Crowns are used to hide the imperfection of the tooth and most crowns are made of resin, metal, and porcelain.
A bridge is made up of a abutment tooth which is used to replace a whole tooth.
To make a bridge the dentist will prep abutment teeth by grinding them down to make room for the crowns.
Then the crowns will be used to hold down the artificial tooth in place.
